Adina Rusakov

Adina Rusakov, MD

Dr. Rusakov graduated from Boston University with a degree in Behavioral Biology and then went on to the University of Minnesota Medical School.  She completed her residency in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore.

Her colleagues at Montefiore have repeatedly commented on her clinical skills in every aspect of pediatrics and her warm personality. We were  all captivated by her depth and generous spirit. In college and medical school, she conducted research in neurobiology which resulted in  publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. She has also maintained an impressively active involvement in community services.  While in college, she volunteered to assist hospice patients at a nursing home in Boston. During medical school, she tutored Somali high  school students in Minnesota. More recently she has volunteered at NYP Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital with young cancer patients and as a  visitors' guide at the butterfly conservatory of the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan.

Outside of work, she enjoys hot yoga, reading fiction, and traveling (especially to countries where she can speak the language - Spanish, French, Russian, and Hebrew!).
