Dina DiMaggio
M.D.
Dr. Dina DiMaggio is a board-certified pediatrician with nearly two decades of experience providing compassionate and expert care to children and families in New York. She has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Patient’s Choice Award (2008-2012), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2010, 2012), and New York Rising Star honors in 2014 and 2015. Dr. DiMaggio has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in Pediatrics annually from 2019 to 2024 and was recognized as a Castle Connolly Exceptional Woman in Medicine in 2024.
Dr. DiMaggio graduated summa cum laude from Barnard College, where she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore and pursued specialized training during a hematology/oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. DiMaggio is passionate about supporting families with evidence-based guidance. She coauthored The Pediatrician’s Guide to Feeding Babies and Toddlers, a trusted resource for parents navigating nutrition. She provides up-to-date pediatric advice on Instagram (@pediatriciansguide) and serves as a spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), educating parents on the latest AAP guidelines.
An accomplished writer and speaker, Dr. DiMaggio has published extensively on infant and toddler nutrition in peer-reviewed journals, consulted for baby companies, and lectured nationwide to pediatricians and parent groups. She is a medical editor for The Bump, a consultant for Bobbie Medical, and frequently contributes her expertise to parenting magazines and media outlets.
Dr. DiMaggio lives in New York City with her husband, two teenage daughters, an elderly dog, and a newly adopted cat.
